Walmart
Features for the Walmart app, one of the biggest shopping apps in the US, used by millions of customers every day. Built with Kotlin, GraphQL and a dash of AI.
For 10+ years I've built apps that millions of people open every day: mobile money, banking, the 7-Eleven app, and now Walmart Health & Wellness. I care about clean architecture, tests that catch real bugs, and releases that go out on time.

// about
I started in 2016 building apps and 2D animations in Adobe Flash (yes, really) in Myanmar. Then I found Android and never looked back. Since then I've worked on mobile money, digital banking, a big US bank, the 7-Eleven app, and now Walmart's Vision Center.
My happy place is a codebase that's easy to change: small modules, clear MVVM layers, and tests written first. I also use AI coding tools every day, because nobody should hand-write boilerplate in 2026.
After work I swap Kotlin for stock charts. I'm a long-term value investor, I'm learning trading on the side, and I like investing in real estate too.
The rest of the time you'll find me reading a book, cooking (sometimes), binge-watching a movie or a good series, or traveling with friends. I also make short videos about great books.
And yes, I bleed blue. I've been a huge Chelsea FC fan since I was 6, the year I discovered football.

// what teammates say
“A tremendous asset to my team.”
Min Phone Nyunt Win is an excellent resource and a master at Android development. His focus keeps everything moving smoothly, he makes sure all the deadlines are met and makes sure that whatever project he is working on meets the highest standards.
“Amazingly high quality and fast.”
His ability of developing an Android app is amazingly high quality and fast, not to mention his additional skill to write unit test and thinking on App Architecture… He can point out the flaws that I hadn’t spotted in the Backend.
“A great learner and a passionate dev.”
He worked as a developer under my management, and I was quite impressed with how he quickly catch up with new technologies, such as unit test, espresso framework, Kotlin and much more.

// side venture
A new education platform I started to share knowledge from great books. Each short video takes one key idea from a book and explains it in a minute or two. The first series covers The 48 Laws of Power, and more books are on the way.
